I work across software architecture, engineering leadership, and cybersecurity. My background is in hands-on .NET development, and I’ve stayed close to the implementation as my responsibilities have grown.
At Argusoft, I help teams modernize applications, make architectural decisions, and work through engineering and security challenges. I enjoy understanding how a system fits together—and following the details when its behaviour doesn’t match the diagram.
My work also includes security monitoring, incident investigation, infrastructure hardening, and mentoring developers. More recently, I’ve been exploring where AI-assisted development can help with everyday engineering, with changes that developers can understand, review, and validate.

- Provide technical direction across software architecture, engineering delivery, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Lead .NET development and application modernization, turning business requirements into architectural decisions and implementation plans.

Selected Work#
Enterprise Application Modernization#
Lead modernization work involving legacy VB.NET and SQL Server applications, moving toward React and modern .NET services. Focus areas include API design, authentication, authorization, tenant isolation, and migration planning.
Security Monitoring and Investigation#
Develop monitoring and investigation workflows using Wazuh, endpoint telemetry, and network and application logs. Focus on actionable alerts, evidence-based timelines, and understanding what the available records can—and cannot—establish.
Infrastructure Hardening#
Work on Windows and Ubuntu hardening, access controls, and security configuration assessments. Connect controls with monitoring and documented exceptions so that teams can maintain them after deployment.
AI-Assisted Engineering#
Experiment with workflows for dependency updates, code quality improvements, and routine maintenance. Use project-specific instructions, clear boundaries, validation, and developer review to keep changes understandable and manageable.
Technical Writing and Knowledge Sharing#
Write about security investigations, threat intelligence, monitoring, and software engineering through Pratik’s Localhost and TechBits@Argusoft. Share implementation details, lessons learned, and the limitations that matter when applying an approach elsewhere.
